Access to the internet has grown rapidly over the years. For a long time the only option was dial up. This was having your computer hooked up to a phone line and connecting through your phone line. As we all know that was extremely slow and there were so many things that could be or were frustrating with dial up. When you would travel dialup was the only option of connecting to the internet with your laptop when away from the office. Mobile internet uses were limited to a 56 Kbps connection.
Then we moved to being able to get internet through different companies when hooked up to a box, but we didn't have to use our phone line. The speeds continued to improve and the options were endless.
Then we moved to the wireless internet. You could go anywhere within your home or office and pick up internet. Then that broadened out to being able to pick up other wireless internet service providers depending on the area or location we were at.
Along with that growth came being able to pick up wireless connections on cell phones and other mobile computing devices. Along with all of these options came the speed of the internet. It has become a constant growth of having high speed internet access and being to able to improve your productivity and what you can download and how fast it can download. With all of these options the speed of internet has grown to speeds ranging from 384 Kbps to 2.0 Mbps. That is up to 35 times faster than dialup.
